I sent a notice to management that my humidity was high (58%-70%) and mold was starting to show on August 10th. It’s now September 15th:

I have serious health issues that caused me to move out of my last apartment. I told management when I first saw the apartment about my health issues and said ventilation was the most important moving factor for me.

As of today, over a month later, my humidity issue have not been fixed. The bathroom’s exhaust fan does not work/ will not pass a tissue test.… A month is more than enough time for mold to become a serious problem.

Other issues:

- Each apartment comes with a huge electronic fireplace. However, they don’t work so it’s just a big eye sore. They flash an error code if you even want to use it for the lighting. I asked them to fix this July 19th and no one has even looked at it.
- Broken glass everywhere!! The parking lot is full of broken glass. I ended up with a flat tire and can’t park in the spots close to my apartment. There’s also glass shattered in the grass (hopefully you don’t have dogs or kids) and always trash everywhere.
- Hot water doesn’t last long.
- Lots of bugs inside apartment. Another huge health concern I have: I asked if the apartment had been treated for any insects and was told “no”. Come to find out, they do have a commercial pest control come out every other week. They suggested this as a problem to the bugs.
- Moving in issues. The day my apartment was supposed to be ready and I was on my way, car loaded, they called me and said it wasn’t ready. My brother had already taken the day off to help me move (imagine if I had paid for professional movers) and I had paid for white-glove delivery of furniture that day. My old lease was also ending that day. They hadn’t even painted yet. They also never called me when my apartment was ready. I had access to my apartment after 5pm, so an entire day of moving was lost and my brother didn’t need to take the day off. They compensated me with thirty seven whole dollars. A slap in the face.
