Disappointed
I wanted to love living at LoSo Walk because the neighborhood itself is great and most of the residents here are genuinely friendly and easy to get along with. Unfortunately, the parking situation and management experience completely overshadow that.
The biggest issue is parking. I honestly do not care that there are a limited number of spaces — I understand higher-density communities come with compromises. The real problem is the size of the spaces themselves. Many of the spots are subcompact... at best. North Carolina standards generally place compact spaces around 7.5 feet wide, yet multiple spaces here measure closer to 7 feet wide. If you own anything larger than a Honda Civic, good luck.
Vehicles are forced to hang over lines or stick slightly out because the spaces are simply too narrow for modern SUVs and trucks. Instead of acknowledging the obvious design issue, management threatens residents with towing notices. It feels less like problem-solving and more like intimidation.
What makes this even more frustrating is that these concerns are not new. Multiple previous reviews mention the exact same issues regarding parking and management communication, yet nothing appears to have changed.
I specifically asked Jamaal for clarification regarding the parking policies and sizing concerns. He agreed to meet me in person and do a walkthrough of the property with me to discuss it. He never showed up. No follow-up, no communication, nothing. That level of customer service is unacceptable, especially when residents are trying to address legitimate concerns professionally.
The community itself has potential and the people living here are great. But between the undersized parking spaces, towing threats, lack of accountability, and poor communication from management, it has been an incredibly frustrating experience.
