Waterlynn at Concord

I’ve lived at this complex for years, and unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it. The amount of money you pay to live here does not match the condition of the property or what is advertised as “luxury living.”

The leasing office and the areas they show prospective residents are nice and presentable, and of course the leasing office has updated stainless-steel appliances. But once you get past those areas, it’s a completely different story. The appliances in my apartment are old, the… breezeways are dirty, the landscaping is poorly maintained, and overall the property is just not kept up the way a “luxury” apartment complex should be.

If you’re considering moving here, don’t just look at the leasing office and the areas they want you to see. For what they charge residents, the entire property should be maintained, not just the parts potential renters see.

Management has been another major issue for me. When I bring up legitimate concerns, I’ve been told more than once that if I’m unhappy, I can leave. I find that extremely dismissive and unprofessional. I’ve actually lived here longer than the current manager has been here. Instead of constantly telling a long-term resident to leave, maybe the question should be why someone who has lived here for years has become so unhappy with the property.


Corporate isn't any better. I've brought concerns to them with no response. Still to this very date.

I’ve also had ongoing concerns with smoke even though this is supposed to be a smoke-free property, along with humidity/moisture issues, AC problems, maintenance concerns, and the general upkeep of the community.

As a parent, I’m also disappointed that there really isn’t much here that caters to children or families. Meanwhile, stray cats are constantly around the property. Sometimes it honestly feels like the cats are more welcomed and accommodated than the paying residents.

I was here before the current management, and I’ve seen the difference. Maybe instead of repeatedly telling residents to leave when they speak up, management should start listening to why longtime residents no longer want to stay.

Calling a property “luxury” and charging luxury prices doesn’t make it luxury. The condition of the property and the way residents are treated should match the advertisement and the price. Read More
