Each of the two full bathrooms includes a shower/tub combo, fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries. The living area is perfect for relaxation, featuring a plush sofa by the warm indoor fireplace, a flat-screen TV, and a DVD player for entertainment. Prepare delicious meals in a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster. Thoughtfully stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils, this kitchen allows you to feel at home while cooking up your favorite recipes.
Parking is not assigned at check-in, and the upper-level parking near the building is reserved for homeowners. During the busy season, all guests will need to park in the lower-level lots and take the shuttle to the front entrance. On-site parking is only available when the shuttle is not operating. If the shuttle service is running, all rental guests must park in the lower lot and use the shuttle to reach the building. A fee of $25 per car, per night applies for additional parking. Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request for $20 per hour for the first 2 hours and $40 per hour thereafter, subject to availability. Additional guest charges apply for more than 5 guests at $35 per guest, per night.
Located in the heart of Sugar Mountain, this charming mountain village is known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. Enjoy hiking, skiing, and golfing, plus nearby dining, shopping, and attractions. Grandfather Mountain State Park is a 10-minute drive away, Grandfather Golf and Country Club is 12 minutes away, Sugar Creek Gem Mine is 9 minutes away, and Lees-McRae College is a 16-minute drive. The area is also home to numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions, including the famous Grandfather Mountain and Linville Caverns.
The building does not have a ski lift, but it is conveniently located right next to the slopes. A complimentary shuttle operates on demand, approximately every 30 minutes to nearby Sugar Ski. During the winter months, snowfall can accumulate quickly, even after paths are cleared. If you're visiting in snowy conditions, we recommend utilizing the complimentary shuttle service for easier and safer commutes. From December through January, 4WD or AWD vehicles are mandatory for accessing Grousemoor Road leading up to Sugartop. This requirement is enforced by the Sugar Mountain Police Department, and tickets will be issued to vehicles that do not meet these requirements. Sugar Top Resort does not feature ski-in/ski-out access. However, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort offers this amenity if you're looking for direct slope access from accommodations. The primary guest must be at least 21 years old.
