Eagle Rock Apartments at Freehold

Lease renewal is over 12%! My daughter is on SS medical disability and retired on fixed income. She always paid 4% for all past renewals. When I called the home office in NY and begged for help...they could care less. Sad phone call ! When I said people will move the answer was " we know... let them all move we have to bring the rents up to market" . Wow. How cold is that statement. Eagle Rock should be ashamed as a company. Think twice before you rent here.

We wanted to love this place, but there have been rodents living in our walls pretty much since we moved in. We submitted a maintenance ticket about it nearly 3 months ago in August, and Eagle Rock Freehold has done nothing to resolve it. We have followed up numerous times and even sent them videos with the sounds that we are hearing on a daily basis to no avail.

After being very persistent with emails, Eagle Rock finally sent an exterminator here who briefly looked around and said he didn’t... understand why they would do that when there are clearly holes in the roof, that there is nothing he can do until they plug the holes. He wouldn’t put a trap up there because it would be a waste of time… they would just come right back in. The bottom line is the roof needs to be fixed first. The exterminator said he would tell them this. I followed up with what he told me and I asked Eagle Rock when we can expect the holes to be filled. They haven’t responded to the question and have now been radio silent for a month.

It’s completely unsettling to live with animals in the walls. It also can’t be good for the building. We’re upholding our end of the lease and don’t understand why Eagle Rock isn’t. The communication is non-existent. No one should have to live like this. Read More

We've lived here in a 2 bedroom since 2014. We just signed a lease renewal and put out a new review every couple of years.

The community remains one of the loveliest communities in the Freehold area - very quiet and well kept with lots of green space and areas to sit, relax, and enjoy the weather. The grounds are mowed regularly, fresh plantings put out seasonly, and cleaned up several times in the fall during leaf season. Snow removal is prompt, though you do have to shovel around your own... vehicle.

As dog owners, we appreciate the extra steps Eagle Rock has taken since purchasing the property in 2016. We enjoy meeting other dog owners at the dog parks, the waste stations are always topped up, and owners are mostly responsible. If some start forgetting to pick-up, a quick email from the community gets people back on track.

Over the years, we have seen management be pro-active to not let problems get out of hand.

Our unit is one of the first remodeled in 2017 and is holding up well. Our maintenance requests are taken care of quickly enough - if it is an emergency like air conditioning the middle of summer, they respond very quickly. Otherwise they do triage, and maintenance gets to it. In our experience the maintenance team knows what they are doing and how to fix an appliance. A couple of our appliances were original to the apartment's first owners and had to be replaced eventually, which happened same day.

We have looked at other communities that have opened up in the area but stay at Eagle Rock because they offer the "full package" of nice and spacious grounds, staff who know us, well maintained amenities, and comfortable apartments. Read More

They refuse to uphold their part of the lease. They will band aid and ignore you.

My AC is broken in the midst of a heatwave and with a feverish toddler as well as a sick adult.

They refuse to call an actual technician or replace the AC.

They refused to replace the washing machine. Look at the clothes. I had to call and call.

Lastly you pay additional for trash and recycling. If you pay for a service and your lease says to put recycling in recyclables, why go against your lease and be... fined.

After the Snowfall today, I wanted to write about the Absolute Amazing Snow Removal by Eagle Rock Apts. My daughter and I have lived here for over 3 Years and everytime it Snows or there is Ice, our complex is out there immediately to clear the Parking Lots but also Every Walkway in the Complex. Since I'm a Senior Citizen who is also Handicapped, the Excellent Snow Removal is so important to me so I don't fall and get hurt. Eagle Rock gets a Perfect 10 for Snow Removal !!!!!
