Four Days of Unresolved Flooding Leaves Resident in Hazardous Conditions

Our apartment began flooding at 4 PM on Friday and, as of 7 PM Monday, the issue still hasn't been resolved. We made five calls before a maintenance worker finally arrived Friday evening. After commenting that "things like this always seem to happen at the end of a shift," he left and never came back.

More calls were made, and eventually, a backup maintenance person for the apartment group came by. He assessed the situation and said a plumber had been contacted and was on the way. Later that...
night, a representative from Prism Carpet Cleaning and Specialty Services (PCCSS) arrived and extracted the water—only to be called back minutes later when the flooding resumed. PCCSS had to return again on Saturday to re-extract the water.

Thanks to PCCSS’s precautionary measures, we were at least able to mop the floors on Sunday. However, the flooding continued. We reached out again—multiple times, both by phone and in person—when the leasing office opened Monday, only to be told that the plumber, who we were told would arrive Saturday, was actually on vacation and wouldn’t be available until midday today.

My mother, who is immunocompromised and on disability, has now been living in an apartment flooded with sewage water for four days. This is an extreme health hazard. Despite the severity of the situation, the apartment complex has shown no urgency.

Worst of all, this is the fourth flooding we've experienced in six years.
