Unprofessional and Anti-consumer

I toured this building and initially loved it. I applied and provided all requested documentation, which fully met the income verification criteria outlined in the building’s own materials. Unfortunately, the third-party screening service they use required slightly different documentation and imposed a strict 48-hour deadline to submit it.

When I reached out to request a brief extension to resolve this discrepancy, I was met with an unusual and unnecessary level of hostility. Based on that… interaction, I chose to cancel my application.

The property manager later informed me that my $300 administrative fee refund would be issued only via paper check and could take 2–4 weeks to arrive. This process feels needlessly outdated and anti-consumer.

I strongly caution anyone considering leasing here. If the application process is handled with this little care and professionalism, it raises serious concerns about how resident issues would be managed after signing a lease.

We work with a… third-party screening provider, and their documentation requirements and timelines are standardized across all applicants to ensure fairness and compliance. While we do our best to assist throughout this process, we are required to follow those guidelines once an application has been submitted.

Regarding the administrative fee refund, this is processed in accordance with company policy and issued by check through our corporate accounting system, which can take several weeks to complete. We understand this may feel inconvenient and appreciate your patience.

We value professionalism and respectful communication and regret if any part of this interaction felt otherwise. Our team is committed to supporting both applicants and residents with care and transparency, and we take feedback seriously as we continue to improve.

overpriced

A premium residence should have premium customer service. Period. That means not having a temper, not being petty, and being reasonably cooperative. I think that also means being honest, not being deceptive, and not changing terms when leases are being drafted hoping that you won't catch them. I didn't find that with the staff here.
