Keeps deleting my review

Let’s start with what is good here. The units are a good size, (plenty of kids over here) and we were happy with the space. The trees outside are mature and charming. The pool is fun and usually empty. Though, the pool hours are incorrectly posted as 9am opening time. We informed management that the sign is misleading because they don’t open it till 10am, and on weekends they may not open it at all since they keep “losing the keys”. When you tell management something they are very sweet and... polite to your face, but rarely follow through with what they say. You have to unfortunately be “that tenant” who bugs them to do their job. The office hours say one thing, but staff is hardly around, usually “out for lunch”, an hour late, leave an hour early. If you can catch em, they try to push work off onto other employees. This is simple work mind you, like i need to return my keys or sign a form and the paper is right in the desk, but you can’t be bothered to help because your co worker is late. Drama I should not be a part of as a mere tenant. What is worse is the bills and fees. We payed for valet trash our entire tenancy and we never once received that service. Similarly we payed for “pest control” and had a single visit. These are fees that add up. About $150 added to rent when you add up fees like valet trash, plus pest control, plus the absurd convenience fee to pay rent (they won’t allow you to pay rent with money order or check, and you can’t pay early). Since you have to pay online using their system, you are forced into a fee even if you have other means to pay, none of it makes any sense. Thankfully we had means and this wasn’t a big deal for us, but it is DISHONEST and WRONG. And after all this, they can’t do a simple thing like fix the pool sign hours. We had an AC unit burst overnight and we had to emergency vacate the premises. We could not get the AI to route us to maintenance. It kept telling me to call 911. After I lied to the AI and got the courtesy officer on the phone, he didn’t have the managers number nor the maintenance peoples number… so we moved all our kids to a hotel room at 1am and ate the costs. Management was unconcerned with their flop and provide no way to reach them in emergency failures like that. Make sure you are VERY low maintenance personality, not minding a broken stove, microwave, ac unit, windows, shower, etc. the place has been around awhile and it shows.

Would happily live here again!

This apartment is by far my favorite place I have lived! The amount of natural light was amazing (and I was on the ground floor), I may have seen a spider or two, but no roaches or anything like that, and the unit itself was just gorgeous. I loved the tall ceilings and the garden tub and the complex itself looked very clean and felt very safe. 10/10 would live here again!

Get away as fast as you can!

I'm unsure of where to begin when it comes to this complex.
We were new to the renting scene. We didn't know a whole lot about what we were in for. At the beginning the management team was very helpful and guided us through the process. This seemed promising. Until our car was towed. The only one we had at the time. The towing company is very unforgiving. Then each of our friends' cars were towed. Some multiple times. We signed cars in each time, followed rules, parked in the correct parking...
spots, etc.
The first incident involving the unit was only a few months after move-in. Without notice, a company was given access to our patio. This happened during the work day and since there was no notice, we were unable to properly cover our patio furniture, bring things inside, or even plan to be home. They accessed our third story patio from a ladder. They then left paint chips all over the ground and paint specks all over our new furniture and cooler. There was damage done to our items and a risk for our pet who was regularly on the patio. When we emailed the office, we more or less got an email back saying "We already told you/What do you want us to do about it?"
Then we started to receive fines. Without asking us or giving us a heads up, we had a letter taped to our door for a fine of $1,000 for a smoking violation. This showed us that the complex was quick to point fingers without consulting the tenant first.
Throughout our 1 year lease we had gotten multiple letters about our patio having "violated" our lease contract. Having "holiday lights" up, having an outdoor table, and as they put: small cluttered items. These minor things started to add up and contribute to the frustration.
By our 7th month we decided we no longer wanted to renew our lease. I had called the office and asked what the move out procedures looked like. I was told we needed to give notice between the 60 and 30 day mark of our lease end date. We notified them around the 35 day mark. We were then hit with an outrageous fine. When we tried discussing this with the office they were disrespectful. Upon our actual move out date, we were charged for the replacement of the 3 year old carpet. Looking at the pictures attached- there is no way 1 cat and 2 people could do that much damage (stains). I tried to argue this charge but it was no use. Our final statement at move out was roughly $2,500.
With all of that said, I could not warn people enough, especially young renters, about The Wyatt.

Don't walk, run from this place!

Lots of better options in the area. Apartments are dated and dark with 10 plus year old appliances. Fitness center is laughable and the size of a walk-in closet. Worst of all is the parking and you'll grow to hate it. Be prepared to walk just to get to your apartment and be prepared to fill out their 20 minute parking registration each time you have a visitor. Do a little research and you'll find much better and newer apartments in this area without all the hassle!
