Hostile Management and Zero Corporate Accountability
We visited Mission Gate on July 18, 2026, to view an apartment. While one of our party was speaking with a leasing agent, the rest of our family—including a young child—waited in the main lobby. To manage the Texas summer heat, we helped ourselves to the water and juice sitting out in the open, accessible lobby area, assuming standard leasing office hospitality.
Instead of basic customer service or a polite correction if those items were off-limits, a male staff member presenting as management... approached us and instantly escalated the situation. He aggressively raised his voice in front of our child and explicitly accused us of "stealing" the beverages.
We immediately terminated our tour and took our business elsewhere.
I escalated this hostile incident directly to Waterton’s corporate leadership, including their VP of Operations. Their response was a dismissive, boilerplate template with absolutely zero accountability for their site manager's behavior.
If this is how aggressively site leadership treats prospective residents over a bottle of water in the lobby, and corporate management condones it, consider how they will treat you once you are a captive tenant locked into a lease. Look elsewhere.
