Pleasant place to live with few drawbacks
I've lived in the Meridian for about 5 years and I've neither had nor heard of any crime-related issues (per another review). The condos are spacious and the layouts are reasonable though not perfect. The walls are thick enough that you rarely hear anything from neighbors unless they're remodeling -- although you may be unlucky enough to have a neighbor who likes remodeling quite a lot. The quality of the original appointments is better than you would find in most apartments. The grounds are... well-kept. Garage parking and you can always find a space in the parking lots, even if some of the parking is closed off (which happens rarely). Downsides include no real community feeling, and the fact that the original plumbing was so poor that they tell people not to use the disposall/insinkerator/whatever you call it, and I've had at least a couple of leaks -- but nothing big enough to cause harm to my belongings. Overall, it's a pretty decent place to live. Oh, and the loop around the Biltmore golf course is excellent for walking or cycling, and the Phoenix Mountain Preserve trailhead 1 mile up 32nd St. is good for a gentle or moderate hike.

Meridan is trouble.
Since the 2017 VRBO laws have changed in AZ this place has become a crime zone. I had the police out today and they advised I move ASAP. I will be moving ASAP. Word to the wise, do not buy or rent here. It is loud, has peeping toms, car break-ins and much more. The rif raf that comes through here is awful.
