Do NOT Live Here

Oh boy I have a lot to say about this apartment complex. Specifically, the Cortez Palms location.

The good:
Price. That's it. And it's not even great. This complex is one of the cheapest you will find (for obvious reasons), but is extremely overpriced for what is offered. More on that later.

The bad:
Since living here, I've had to call the cops three times for safety concerns.

Roaches and bugs are large and persistent.

There are constantly homeless people going through the dumpster… (when it isn't on fire).

Extremely outdated - no dishwasher, tub was painted over with interior paint (and was still wet on my move in day) and has since chipped and stained, front door and window aren't sealed and don't close properly so air/dirt/water gets in through the cracks, AC unit filter probably hasn't been changed since its installation.

Community laundry rooms are a disaster. Half of the machines don't work and when they do, they ruin clothing items. Residents are disrespectful of others' property and will take loads out of the dryer and throw them on the counter not even 10 minutes after the cycle is complete.

The gate to get in the complex is open half the time and broken the other half.

Needless to say, I can't wait to move out. This place has caused me nothing but stress and problems and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone.
