I am currently looking to move and void my just signed lease because of increasing rents fees and lack of maintenance on the property grounds buildings and parking lot. I have had 14 flat tires in 5 years living here flats acquired in the parking lot area that has caused replacement of all it tires. No air pumps near here as homeless population wanders around this area 24/7 causing noise and doing drugs trying to sleep in elevators laundry rooms and even in the elevator landing platforms. Bed bugs and roaches. Yea they might send pest control but the little suckers just run up down left or right so they will be back.. Eating your kiddos alive. The only reason i live here is because I unfortunately am in a position to have to. Theres other low income properties that you can get into without the drama.
The maintenance guys are awesome and down to earth but the office ladies are ever changing so there's no consistency and horrible attitudes.

When I moved into Estrella Apartment Homes, I was really hoping this could be a place that I could stay for at least few years. But there' s just been too much that has happened here for me to consider renewing my lease. Between slow maintenance repair times, inconvenient office hours and lackluster customer service, the fact that some UPS packages are rejected and you have to pick them up from a nearby pickup location, the always broken laundry units (there's generally two washers and one or… two dryers working, and there's only three dryers and three washers total for a whole building) and the fact my building was treated for german cockroaches (I have never lived in a building with roaches, so imagine my surprise when I got a notice on my door), I would not really recommend this complex. I feel like I could get a larger and far better apartment for just a tiny bit more money.

That being said, if you are just looking for small somewhere to live (many of the one bedrooms are only 465 square feet), and are not all that concerned with the above problems, then it may be a good fit for you. It is close to I-25 and is the first exit on 36. It's definitely on the cheaper end of places available in the metro area. There's a Mercado down the street, and a King Soopers and Walgreens on 84th and Pecos (just a short drive). It's also down the street from Water World.
