DONT DO IT
Originally, I had a (semi) good experience upon move in. About a month after moving in I realized we made a mistake.. the first thing I will say is this place has VERY thin walls.. I could hear my downstairs neighbors clear as day (kids screaming, parents screaming, dogs yelping etc.) The shared wall in the Master- I wake up at 5 am every day to my neighbor's iPhone alarm, you can hear it perfectly through the wall, and I have to use my AirPods to try to fall back asleep. They are a cheap build,... flooring isn't properly installed, I have cut my foot multiple times because there were nails popping out of every threshold in my apartment. Not to mention the extremely loud whistle throughout the interior hallways when it's windy, it seems like we can't get a proper seal on the doors no matter who complains. The interior hallways are also LOUD, I hear doors slamming and kids screaming constantly; it always smells crazy in there also. I can only speak to my building, but I have friends in other buildings who have voiced similar concerns.
Dog park: just avoid it- I clean up other people's mess every time I'm there, some people just don't care. Alan (the former manager) genuinely tried to make a good faith effort to mitigate some issues, and even pointed out a time where I accidentally missed a pickup from one of my dogs- which I appreciated and corrected, but the results of his efforts only lasted for so long. The absolute STENCH of that dog park trash can is enough for my child and I to almost vomit walking past it, and I feel horrible for the adjacent tenants who have to bear it on days above 70 degrees. Trust me, it is diabolically bad.
I'm now requesting a basic document for verification of my rental/payment history- called and got hung up on/dropped, had my new property management company call only to be dropped, so I visited the office at 4pm on a Tuesday, doors locked and nobody answering, no note on the door or anything. After calling 10 times, I got a hold of somebody who told me they essentially nuked their old records and can't access anything from before 2 months ago, they didn't even have my phone number on file. They then referred me to their old ownership and didn't offer me a contact phone number, website or anything- he just said google it and figure it out. Complete nightmare for those needing a basic tenant ledger to
