Living at these apartments for more than 2 years, The office used to be ran so well. Until recently, These office people never answer the phone. They send you to voicemail, Open your voicemail & Just never get back.

Move out charges are ridiculous so be aware they will charge you for anything they can. Carpet fees for replacement as if they don’t have to replace it anyway. They rather have someone else pay for it. They’ll charge for paint repairs and any other thing they can pick at.

The... front gates are always broken allowing anyone to come in and out the property. Security was rarely ever in-forced instead they have a police camera posted in 1 spot of the property… no coverage to the rest of the property.

The back pool was always filthy never regularly maintained as the one in the front because the one in the front is what they show on the tour.

Save yourself the money. If you want good management look elsewhere!!!! Lee mas

I lived at Torreyana from September '23 to October '24 and never had any issues. Upon submitting my notice to vacate, one of the front office ladies and someone in maintenance came into my apartment to do a quick inspection and I was told everything looked good.

I have two dogs, both of which are potty trained and they never had any accidents. I crated them when I was away and, being lap dogs, they'd always stay near me when I was home. They had set potty schedules. If they did roam, I had... every door closed so they wouldn't go into the bedrooms.

Upon moving out I was slapped with a "carpet replacement fee," claiming the carpet had "heavy pet damage" from urine. I asked for photographic proof - all they sent me was a picture of the carpet from above, with no clear evidence that there was any damage at all. I continued to ask for clearer photo evidence, but nothing was ever sent to me. They told me I could find what I needed in the portal, but I lost access to the portal after I moved out, and they never sent me information on how to log in after I requested.

They eventually stopped replying and I thought they had given up. I didn't even bring up the random tub resurfacing fee they also had on the final bill, for a tub I hardly ever used because I lived alone in a two-bedroom and always showered in the main bathroom. However, now it's several months later and I got a letter in the mail from a debt collection agency for these charges.

I think it's ridiculous that Torreyana would try to charge me to replace the carpet. They didn't even specify if they only replaced the living room carpet (which was the only carpet the dogs would ever walk on) or if they replaced the bedroom carpets as well. I never got the photo proof I was asking for other than a from-above image of the living room carpet, with no clear damage visible. I think this is just their shady way of trying to get a brand new carpet for the next tenant.

On an unrelated note, while living at Torreyana, my car got stolen from the community parking after a series of vehicle break ins. It's the reason they have police towers now, although they made sure that nobody in the community was made aware of a stolen vehicle.

Aside from my car, I never had any issues living here, which is why I'm very disappointed that they would try to swindle me out of almost $1200 for carpet replacement and a tub resurfacing that I don't think was necessary. I'm definitely going to be fighting the debt collection. Lee mas

They barely return any deposit and charge excessively for the so-called move-out cleaning. When my wife moved in, the bathtub cracks. She notified the manager and they said as long as it doesn't leak, it's fine, and they didn't fix it. After moving out, they charge $430 for bathtub resurfacing and over $100 for carpet cleaning, which has no stains at all. When my wife tried to argue that, their manager asked her to contact via email, but they NEVER replied AT ALL!!! So don't expect your deposit... will be returned, even if you keep the apt as good as you can. Lee mas

I lived in Torreyana Apartments for 4 years. when I moved out they added a bogus charge for tub resurfacing even though the tub was in the same condition as when I originally rented it. I disputed the $400 charge and contacted both the management company and the central billing trying to get a review and a resolution to this issue and at a minimum verify that the work had at least been done. Central billing would tell me that they passed the information along to the management company and they... would get back to me if they heard something. However after 5 months of checking on the situation and instead of contacting me about it they sent me to collections. I would have paid the bill had they just proven to have done the work but for some reason they felt this was a better solution. its deplorable they are a terrible company who tries to stick you with every little thing they can when you move out. avoid them at all cost. We've been residing here since October '22. So far, so good. The maintenance team responds immediately, which is really good, especially Mr. Jose; he's been very nice to us. At the leasing office, Ms. Maria is the best; since day one, she has taken care of us. I had a complaint one time about a nuisance at night, and Ms. Vanessa took care of it. Very nice team! I hope nobody leaves because we want to stay longer here at Torreyana. It's a bit pricey, but worth it!
