Verified Renter
Disappointed with Rent Practices and Management Response I was sincerely disappointed by the property management’s decision to increase the rent by nearly 10% without considering any reduction, despite my request. In over 12 years of renting various apartments, I’ve never experienced such a steep increase - most properties I’ve lived in have kept rent hikes within 3-4%, even during fluctuating market conditions.
Unfortunately, communication with the leasing office has also been less than ideal.... They told me after 2 weeks on the last day when I wasnsupposed to take decision of whether I want to continue the lease which didn't give me enough time to research the market. Delayed responses are common, and when I first moved in, it took nearly 4–5 months to get basic appliance issues resolved and address a serious roach problem which I finally got fixed.
Potential renters should be cautious: while the initial lease might come with a competitive rate, be prepared for a significant jump in the second year, especially if the market goes up. However, they do not lower rents when the market cools down. Also, apartments are not luxurious that you would want to match with the market prices.
I expected better responsiveness and fairness from the management. Overall, this experience has been quite underwhelming.
