2700 Lincoln is a well-organized and well-run apartment building! We have never had any issues with communication or maintenance. They are fast and responsive. The only reason I put one star less than perfect is for all the "extras." When you sign your lease, you know your rent, but then you have to add parking for an extreme price, and then you never really have a range for utilities. The good-price rent gets too high too fast.

We also completely understand your feedback about the additional costs. Parking does sell out each year, and because we lease using a tiered pricing structure, the best rates are available at the beginning of leasing and increase as demand grows. We try to be very transparent with both prospects and current residents about that process so everyone has the information they need when making their decision. This year especially, we’ve had an incredible response to leasing and are well ahead of where we were in prior years.

For utilities, we receive the electric bill for each apartment from the City of Ames and divide that cost among the residents living in the unit. This means residents do not have to set up an account with the city or coordinate payment as a roommate group because we take care of that process for them. The actual utility cost is based on the apartment’s usage, so that amount can vary from month to month and is not something we directly control.

We really appreciate you sharing both what we’re doing well and where the experience could be better. Feedback like this helps us understand what matters most to our residents!

I’ve really enjoyed living at 2700 Lincoln so far; the building itself is fantastic and offers a great living environment. However, there are a few ongoing maintenance issues and minor items throughout the unit that are currently broken or in need of repair. I would love to see these smaller details addressed to help the apartment truly live up to its full potential. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to call home, and I appreciate the management team's attention to keeping the community in top… shape.

Great, friendly people, great location, the parking situation is hard because parking is very expensive for any location wherever you park. Other than that, great experiences so far!
