Great Property, Disappointing and Confusing Application Process
The in-person tour of Opal Largo Station was fantastic; the facilities looked exactly like the pictures, and the community seemed very appealing. Unfortunately, our experience with the application process was frustrating and ultimately led us to withdraw our application.
The process was full of misinformation and contradictory timelines. We were told during our tour that we could hear back in as little as two weeks, but we were later told on the phone that the process could take up to 60 days.... We even received a premature "approved" email from their insurance provider, which created a false sense of certainty.
The most disheartening part was the lack of diligence and empathy from management. Despite our best efforts to submit a comprehensive application, it was clear our documents were not thoroughly reviewed. This resulted in a series of repetitive and insensitive questions about our non-traditional income and rental history, which was particularly disheartening.
The lack of a single point of contact also caused confusion, as we spoke with multiple people who did not have a complete understanding of our file. While the property is beautiful, the application process showed a concerning lack of professionalism and attention to detail. We decided to take our business elsewhere, since our time was not being respected, in hopes of finding a community that values its applicants.
