This building used to be nice until Cushman-Wakefield purchased it. Very few of the amenities are in working order; the package lockers are nice, the gym still exists, and in-unit laundry is always good. However, the grills no longer work, the courtyard is bare and boring, the hot tub is gone, and the fire table doesn't work. There hasn't been any regular security for years.

The apartments don't get any refreshes between tenants — our unit had several dings & scratches, and did not get new...
paint or carpet before we moved in. The disposal wasn't functional.

The neighborhood is walkable with two grocery stores within two blocks. Access to public transportation is top notch. It gets wild on the weekends as there are bars/clubs in the area.

A really nice thing about the apartment is the sound isolation. These walls are THICK. This is a big reason we've stayed here for as long as we have. It's hard to find an apartment where you can't hear your neighbor's phone conversations!

Improvements are being made so I won’t be too harsh but communication could be better from staff and maintenance.
Rules of the complex could be enforced better (courtyard closing time, picking up your dogs poop). We could be given better security so things stop being stolen.
The cleanliness is improving, and the noise level in general is also improving. So I’m giving the complex another shot with a new lease.

I love the neighborhood and neighbors. The space in my apartment is wonderful and I love that I'm away from everything. The loft is so cool I can't wait to have my house warming.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place only continues to go downhill every year. Neighbors being loud all hours or the night blasting music, no security, no communication skills in the office. Used to be a fairly nice place to live but not in the past 2 years.

Management seemed to go out of its way NOT to respond to tenant concerns. The maintenance office never answered the phone, never returned voicemails. A water leak once went unaddressed for three days before anyone did anything. The office staff never answer the phone or return calls. They’re kind when you’re considering Uptown Lake, but lose any interest in you once you sign the lease. They leave work early, ignore problems, and fail to communicate when large issues in the building are afoot... (including safety and health code issues). I often wonder if Cushman Wakefield uses ULA as a dumping ground for underperforming or incompetent staff.
