Arrowhead Pointe

I signed a lease for 14 months and ended up leaving after 2 1/2 months. The tour was nice, they keep the show apartment very clean. It was close to my work and seemed alright so I moved in happily. Problems began soon after. There was pet waste all over the property, no one cleaned up after them. The general neighborhood sucked. The roads to and from and in the complex sucked. I was told my unit would have “upgraded” appliances. Upon moving in I had a newer dishwasher and an oven and fridge from... the 70’s. I was told the carpet was new. I found objects in the carpet which meant it had been there for previous tenants. They told me the unit got deep cleaned. I found more objects under the fridge and all kinds of dust and dirt in other places. All of the cabinets were peeling and I was told the owners were too cheap to get them replaced. The walls were full of holes and the shower had calcium buildup. Ultimately it felt like it was being lived in before I got there, because it was. The roach problem was unbelievable. They were outside all over the place (especially around the pet waste). They were in my apartment 24/7. I never had any peace. They came out in broad daylight and were even more active at night. If it rained, the problem multiplied. They came out of the sinks, the tub, the washer dryer hookup, and any place they could come and go from the walls. I couldn’t sleep, I didn’t eat, all for fear of seeing one more set of antennae crawling on the wall. So I told the office. They said they would “handle it” and I “just needed to be patient and let it resolve”. After 3 rounds of spraying and bug bombing, the problem was still there. Turns out the guy before me was nasty and had the place properly infested when he was kicked out (didn’t inform me till 2 months in). They bombed the unit once and assumed that was it. I asked to transfer to another unit and was told I wasn’t allowed to as I hadn’t been there six months. Apparently seeing 1-10+ cockroaches a day in your apartment was a “non-concerning, almost normal” amount and didn’t quality for exemption. I couldn’t sleep, had panic attacks. I stayed in hotels on weekends just to get some sanity back. My job suffered. I ended up having to pay $2300 just to break my lease and leave. I still hear things, still track every non existent movement I see, still have panic attacks. I have more to say but this is already too long. Gated, modernized, and spacious! With a lovely front office staff that is very helpful in all regards. Matthew, the assistant manager, was extremely helpful throughout the entire application process, as well as Janessa, the secretary. They helped ease me and my family through the process and answer any questions we had!

I love the office staff. They are always very kind and helpful (the best that they can). The owners of the complex suck and do not care but the office staff does what they can.

I have only had 1 bad experience with a neighbor, and the office did a lot to remove them and make the community safe again. I have loved living here and continue to renew my lease.
