Incompetent office staff
Here's a new one for the Guinness Book of World Records! Back in May, I had not yet received a property utility bill (water, trash, sewer), so I called the office and told them that, since the amount needed to be added to the rent, that I would estimate utilities for that month. The following month, I called the office and spoke to maybe Amanda or Arlene and got the actual amount of the utility bill, which was $6.05 less than what I estimated for rent that month. So that following month, I... applied the $6.05 credit toward rent, which I checked on first at the office and they gave me a go ahead on that. Now, three months later, I first got a legal notice to pay the $6.05 or gave legal action and/or eviction taken against me and today I received a phone call asking for the $6.05. And since it was beyond the 5th of the month, I had to get a money order, which I cannot get out of my apartment to get. My reaction is, I mean, am I on Candid Camera? All this for $6.05 that I don't even owe???!!!
