Poor management
The uncaring about residents is ridiculous. The fancy office renovating and the new “convenient” package express is great for getting people to sign, but that seems to be all that matters. After they don’t care. When problems are brought to the front office’s attention the shoulder shrugs and head tilts are insulting. When the spectrum that the complex signed up for has issues, the response is you should call them and fix it. When parcel pickup is not letting myself and a half a dozen people I... randomly run into get their packages, the response is once again you just need to call them. They can put up passive aggressive signs in the dog park that say tsk, tsk, someone isn’t picking up after there dog, how about tsk, tsk, someone isn’t maintaining their facility so it’s pitch black at night because the light has been out for over 6 months. Thankfully during the limited hours I’ve seen the property manager in the actual building, she does do a round of air freshener in the gym next to her office, because that’s the most important part of living here, my gym smelling like fresh linen. I don’t feel bad in the slightest that I spend my work day discussing with the highland park residents who have current students, or potentially future student at SMU to avoid Belclaire all together. I felt like I did a good deed last week when I successfully deterred a family from signing their son up for here when they asked my opinion after completing their tour. I wish I hadn’t ignored the negative reviews I had received before signing here. Belclaire needs to do better at resident care, or the word of mouth will only get worse.
