preschool playground vibes
We've lived here for two years and, overall, have had a positive experience. Unfortunately, the quality of life has declined significantly in recent months due to a persistent noise issue.
A family of four recently moved into a one-bedroom ground-floor unit and appears to use the shared courtyard as a private backyard. Their children, along with frequent guests and additional children, regularly occupy much of the common area. The result is daily yelling, screaming, and disruptive noise that... often continues until 10 p.m.
We live on the top floor and can clearly hear the noise even with our windows closed. Opening our windows is no longer enjoyable or practical. Many neighbors share these concerns and have raised complaints, but management has indicated there is little they can do because the unit is owned and leased by a third-party company.
To be clear, there are other children in the building who use the courtyard appropriately and respectfully. The issue is not the presence of children, but the ongoing excessive noise and lack of consideration for a shared community space.
If a quiet and peaceful living environment is important to you, this is something to be aware of before choosing to live here.
