Beautiful 1920s Building

This beautiful apartment in the heart of the Coronado District has the unique charm of historical 1920s Phoenix with bars, restaurants, and farmers' markets within walking/biking distance. I moved here about a year and a half ago and immediately fell in love with the character of the property. Nestled in a grove of palm trees, this apartment provides intimate outdoor space with a fountain, barbeque, tables, and seating. Often my boyfriend and I will take a couple of beers to the courtyard and... enjoy a warm summer evening sitting in the hammock beneath the trees. In the cooler months, it's delightful to open my windows and listen to the birds coo and flit about with the sound of trickling fountain in the background. It truly feels like an oasis in the desert. The apartment itself is lovely with real hardwood floors, wide moldings and baseboards, large windows, high ceilings and unique vintage features like glass cabinet doors, craftsman style architecture, and stained glass chandeliers in the common spaces. The layout of the apartment lends itself to the best use of the space as well. Unlike modern apartments, this one has a generously sized kitchen, which is great for cooking or having friends over. Counter space is somewhat limited but purchasing a small butcherblock cart took care of that and I think it adds some interesting character. The size of the apartment, on the whole, is perfect for me; I currently have a queen bed, a 9-foot sectional, and a rather large dining room table, all of which fit nicely in the space. I love the aesthetic of the house and always receive lots of compliments when new people come over. Overall, I'm tremendously happy living here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new spot to call home.

Tons of Character and Great Management

My wife and I have lived on the property for about a year and a half. Fell in love with the character of the unit the minute we walked in and have enjoyed it ever since. The outdoor area is also quite nice with a hammock and a table to sit with guests who come over. It's also close to a bunch of great restaurants, cafés, etc. on 7th st. In my opinion, a major factor in evaluating a property is the experiences with management. In our time, the landlord has been nothing but kind and helpful, very... responsive to any issue we identify. A great place to live!

Not conducive for living

Has charm, yet the amenities are outdated including the fridge, stove(no ventilation), bathtub, insulation and AC unit(which makes considerable noise with high bill). Worst for me are the walls being paper thin. You can hear both neighbor's EVERY move. Worth getting a newer place.
