Optima Sonoran Village

The apartment itself at this place is horrible. All the appliances are old and barely work. The AC is terrible and despite spending hundreds on cooling we can barely keep our bedroom below 80 degrees. The layout of the kitchen is awful. The floors are ugly and old and all the tile looks dirty all the time.
The package staff are great - everyone else has been rude and condescending. Also we got our cars broken into twice while living here. None of the doors are secure. Don't waste your money.... This place only looks good from the outside. Read More

If you want to pay thousands of dollars to be treated like a child, Optima Sonoran Village is the place for you.

Marketed extremely well from an outside perspective everything seems incredible. You are treated like royalty when you are a prospecting renter. Given an incredible tour, and free drinks from the juice bar. It all looks stellar and Heather whisks you away with how amazing the complex is.

Upon moving in this all but ceases to continue to exist. As a resident you are treated like a... child: you have the police called on you while at the pool, amenities closed because of other residents misbehaving, mask mandate still being required with threats of 10 day eviction notices if you do not comply and no discount for the amenities being taken away from you.

In conclusion Optima Sonoran Village is one of the most sought after places to live here in Scottsdale, marketed extremely well and treated like royalty as a prospecting renter. After you sign that lease agreement all the magic falls apart, and management stops caring about anything you have to say. Going so far as to having to reach out to the corporate office, Vice President of Optima to make changes happen. Since I've been here there's been a stabbing outside, no security, everything smells like urine, nothing works nor is fixed, they add to your bill each month without telling you why ... and good luck getting through to anyone to fix any of these or the many other problems . It's a bit like Las Vegas airport... when you come in its all glitz and glamor and with Heather being charming and kind ... once you are in its like that cold room they shove you into as you fly out with nothing but shame and... regret for your decisions. I'm sorry but the Staff, grounds, customer service, hallways, and environment is poor. This has been the worse experience. As a Professional Athlete I expected more!!

This place for one has Rats!!! This is the most ridiculous place I have ever lived. I'm use to living a high end lifestyle. I must say this looks high end but the staff is far from that! If you are looking for a place with elegance, clean, helpful staff, and you can afford high pay living look some place else. I have been living... here for a year now. Problems from appliances not working often, to RATS, smelly dirty hallways, and no help with the Manager or staff!!

The grounds are dirty all the time! People smoke , loud, and the hallways are always dirty. The staff is very unprofessional, lack of communication is frustrating, there is a new face in the leasing office every week! They charge you unexpected fees, the account manager is truly rude and they are very unorganized!! I would never rent here again! I recommend you Stay away look around more! Optima is on there 5th property management team in less than 12 months. You would think if there only going to be on property for 2.5 months they would start out with a positive attitude. Rude service, can't find overnight express packages, difficult to get dry cleaning pick up, and impossible to schedule facilities to fix items. Terrible experience!!! To bad because it is a nice facility.
