Horrible management

Prior to move in, I asked what size the mattress was and if there was already a shower curtain. I didn’t receive a response until 5 days later after I already moved in. The apartment was filthy upon move in including mold throughout the fridge and freezer. Luckily they gave me a discount on rent because of that. There is no stove. It’s a portable burner that can’t boil water or stay hot enough to cook raw meat. Management is incapable of understanding the burners don’t work and keep suggesting... to replace them. No parking is included. The walls are paper thin. The sinks clog with just water. The blinds are useless and there’s no curtain rod. Good luck getting a hold of management. They don’t call you back, they take over a week to respond to email, and they won’t give you a supervisors info. Honestly, the worst experience I’ve ever had renting. It’s obvious they’re a large corporation just interested in taking advantage of naive college kids. I’ll be reporting them to the better business bureau and any other housing agency I can find. Completely unacceptable the way they run a business.

Don't Rent in advance, wait until last minute if you can

Don’t rent with them early in advance, be smart and rent last minute when prices go down they wait and reduce prices when the school year comes closer in august. I signed my lease in advance and then prices went down I asked for a price match and they said (NEVER) even though it was only maybe two weeks from signing my lease contract. Oh, also you can just rent for a month or two, and then when prices go down, you can extend the lease for the longer period you want.

Hidden Fees

* Lots of hidden costs/"fine print" fees. Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - has a charge attached to it. Read and remember every last detail before you sign.
* Furniture is nice but delicate (very easily scratched, dinged, etc) and each little scratch incurs a charge.
* They make you replace the mattress cover on the when you leave, but it has to be THEIR specific mattress cover, which for some reason is $80.
* We never got my "one month free", as part of buying a year-long deal, and they...
also are giving us 11 months, not one year. Also never got back the deposit we put in.
* Surveillance is OTT - if you have a dog you are supposed to send their DNA to a service somewhere, lest you be accused of not picking up after them, and incurring - you guessed it - a ridiculous fee. There are also cameras *everywhere*.
* A garbage chute was advertised but there wasn't one.
* Packages are placed on an open counter ostensibly for anyone to take at will.
* If you accidentally forget your keys in the common room - which locks you out and cannot be opened without a key or your phone, they want to charge you $200 to retrieve them.
* USPS refused to deliver to mailboxes unless they were labeled with names - apartment emailed us telling us to remove name labels. Packages are left out in the open and frequently go missing.
* Cooking food that is mildly fragrant will elicit a "no marijuana" email.
* You cannot run the oven on while using other appliances or it will flip the fuse. There is no tenant access to a fusebox and you need to call someone to do it, which takes 2-3 days.
* Per square foot it is cheaper to buy a house.
* 500 dollars to hold apt not applied to rent.
* No on site staff although this was implied on the tour.
* They made me pay for the entirety of my last month of living there, despite having to move out in the middle of it.

Flushing money down the toilet for amusement would be more financially wise than living here.

Man a lot to work on

So, not only has their been a spider problem but I am now 3 days into having my lights being permanently left on. They decided it was not an emergency and that it was okay to leave a tenant of theirs with the lights on through the night, multiple nights in a row. The first week my packages were being left out on the street and when I alerted the apartment manager she was passive aggressive about it. I would maybe recommend this place for its clean interior but I am PISSED about how I am being... treated for such a premium price.
