It's 100% fair to take apartment reviews with a grain of salt. However, after living at this property for 2+ years and seeing a variety of ownerships, I would warn anyone genuinely considering moving here.

If you have anyone who is disabled/handicap, elderly, or just lives on a high floor, the elevators rarely work. The building has 5 elevators; since moving in 2+ years ago, 2 have been out of commission entirely. We've been constantly told that they are trying to repair it as soon as… possible; however, the county of Fairfax decomissioned one of them due to the lack of safety -- this was put on notice in January 2026. It's been 5 months with no progress. It's not out of the norm to have the remaining 3 elevators have issues as well, leaving residents with sometimes only 1 elevator; 27 floors with one elevator.... We've been told to "plan accordingly and allow extra time for travel within the building." Chances are you'll wait 15+ minutes for an elevator only for it to be full and have to wait for the next one. At that point, you'll opt to walk up however many flights of stairs it is to your apartment or to the ground floor.

Talking with other residents, the sentiment is the same -- we continue to have the price increased, the cost of living increased, to live in a luxury apartment, but the basic necessities are constantly out of order. It's not just the elevators; the garage door has been out of commission for months now. An amazing onboarding experience where all steps were well facilitated. Working with Danielle from the initial tour all the way up to signing the lease allowed every aspect to be simply taken care of.

I really can’t commend the new management of this apartment complex enough. There is such a huge difference from the previous management company. Every floor is looked after, the AC has been turned on in the hallways after years of issues, the garage doors finally work at all times, the elevators have been fixed, the walls repainted- they’ve done an excellent job.

We also recently moved from one apartment in this building to a different one, and the move in process the second time was seamless.… They even went above and beyond to leave toilet paper, paper towels, a hand towel, snacks, water, and dish soap in the new apartment. I’ve never seen that done before and it really blew us away. The attention to detail, down to a nice black box to give us our new keys in, is awesome. Nouvelle gives the impression of a luxury property, but the reality of living here is a completely different story. Management under Greystar has been consistently disorganized and unresponsive. There are frequent billing and system errors, and when you try to get help, no one follows up. You’re often left chasing answers for weeks—if you get a response at all.

The elevators are incredibly slow and almost always overheated, which is unacceptable for a high-rise. We can’t use the gym, something… is always broken. Currently we can’t even use the gym. Meaning we have to pay for an outside gym because we haven’t received any notice of when this will be completed. What are we really paying for! Basic communication from the front office is inconsistent, and the staff often come across as indifferent or unapproachable.

For the amount of money residents pay to live here, you would expect a far better level of service, professionalism, and maintenance. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to look elsewhere. The ongoing inconvenience, lack of accountability, and poor customer service simply aren’t worth it. Read More
