Great Location and Staff
I’ve been living at Arlo Apartments for the past two years and overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. The location is hard to beat—close to everything I need in Columbia City. The staff truly make this place feel like home. John, the maintenance supervisor, and Trey, the Community Manager, are both outstanding. They’re responsive, professional, and genuinely care about the residents.
That said, no place is perfect. Parking could be improved, and unfortunately, some residents don’t clean up... after their pets or follow basic community rules—like proper trash disposal or respecting the non-smoking policies. I see the staff working hard to manage these issues and constantly sending out reminders, which I can imagine is frustrating for them. It’s clear they’re doing everything they can to create a clean and respectful environment, but some of it just comes down to fellow residents being more responsible.
Utilities here can also be quite high, but I appreciate that Trey is actively looking for ways to help, even though it seems to be more of a city or ownership-level issue.
In short: the Arlo team is doing an amazing job, especially given the challenges. I really enjoy living here and highly recommend Arlo Apartments to anyone looking for a well-managed, friendly community in a great location.
